Rumsey’s raises nearly £6,000 for local people affected by multiple sclerosis
After two years of fundraising, the staff and customers at Rumsey’s Handmade Chocolates have raised an amazing £5,921 for the Chilterns MS Centre through selling delicious scones & chocolates, running raffles, store collections and walking on one of the hottest days of the year.
The money that the Wendover and Thame based chocolatier has raised will make a real difference to the lives of people in Wendover and the Chilterns area that have been affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). It will enable the charity to continue to provide physical, practical and emotional support for those living with MS, and their families, for as long as they need.
Kate Rumsey, Business Director, says
“We have loved supporting the Centre as our Charity of the Year for the past two years and have baked, walked and hosted all we can to help those affected by Multiple Sclerosis and their families. This wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our wonderful customers as well. Thank you for helping us to help them!”
Sharon Cooper, Corporate Fundraising Manager at the Chilterns MS Centre, commented:
It’s been an amazing two years working with the team at Rumsey’s. The staff have really pulled the stops out to support us and the generosity of their customers has been incredible. Thank you to everyone who has been involved in this partnership, the money you have raised will make a real difference to people living with MS.
