Ashridge Home Care working with the Chilterns MS Centre to promote independent living

The Chilterns MS Centre is delighted to have formed a new association with Ashridge Home Care, an award-winning local provider offering personalised one to one care to those who need it, so they can remain in the comfort of their own home.

As part of the association, Ashridge Home Care will be holding workshops at the Chilterns MS Centre offering guidance and recommendations on how users of the Centre can live fuller lives while maintaining independence. Qualified personal carers can offer much needed support so everyone can remain in the homes they have lovingly created with just the right amount of tailored help to make life enjoyable.

“Having the opportunity to work with the Chilterns MS Centre and be able to give advice and support about care options is fantastic,” said Trudi Scrivener, Founder of Ashridge Home Care. “Living with a disability or health condition can be extremely challenging but it does not mean you should not be able to maintain independence and live a fulfilling life. Having the support of a professional PA or carer who really believes in you, can provide confidence and motivation to be able to do whatever you want.”

“This association is an exciting opportunity for the Centre as it will provide our members with greater support options,” said Lou Grace, Deputy Head of Integrated Clinical Care at the Chilterns MS Centre. “Both our organisations share the same ethos in seeking a good quality of life for those we support and maintaining independence, working together will be another step to us achieving that.”

The Chilterns MS Centre provides treatments and services to people with MS, helping them to live life to the full. In 2022 the Centre began a pilot programme to open up its services to people with other neurological conditions starting with Parkinson’s disease and stroke survivors. If anyone with MS, Parkinson’s or who has experienced a stroke feels they would benefit from the services offered then they should get in touch with the Chilterns MS Centre by phoning 01296 696133.
