I was on the Trustee board previously for three years in the period just over 10 years ago when the charity moved into the current building. My wife Karen Summerfield who lived with MS for 40 years was a long-standing member of the Centre. I re-engaged with the Centre at Board level in 2022 after the passing of my wife.
I know from long personal experience the importance of the Centre to both members and carers alike, and I am pleased that we have extended our services to other neurological conditions, as my father experienced a serious stroke 25 years ago.
My career involved working for American multinational companies, before running my own businesses, and although semi-retired I do hold some local business interests.
