Carers’ Workshop: Understanding Dementia – Seeing the world from the person’s perspective

This workshop is the second in a series of three on understanding dementia with a focus on seeing the world from the person’s perspective. Hosted by Louise Joslin, representing Ashridge Home Care, and also featuring Agata Stepien, a Care Manager at Ashridge, the session will provide an overview of dementia including:

• The experience of dementia
• Person centred care
• Uniqueness
• Psychological needs and hope
• Challenging behaviour as unmet need
• Understanding & supporting families

It is being held as part of a series of free carers’ workshops hosted by the Chilterns Neuro Centre specifically for carers and family members.
