Working in association with…

Better Mobility

In 2024, we formed an association with Better Mobility, a dedicated supplier of manual and powered wheelchairs and also a wide range of complete mobility solutions, tailored to the specific needs of the individual user. The company also provides Complete Patient Solutions and Hire Equipment services that allow hospitals and therapists to address their patient’s needs swiftly and simply. Read more.

I am really pleased that Better Mobility is able to support Chilterns Neuro Centre in this way. Our whole company’s ethos is about good customer service and meeting people’s mobility needs, which aligns perfectly with the values of the Centre. Between us we can help people live life to the full.”

Jeanette Warner, Director, Better Mobility

Steering Developments Ltd

Driving and vehicle access is such an important part of our lives that so many people take for granted. The ability to drive a vehicle is not just a convenience, it is a lifeline to employment, education, social interaction and a sense of self-reliance. Vehicle adaptations for people with disabilities play a pivotal role in ensuring inclusivity and independence. In 2023 we formed an association with Steering Developments Ltd, a local company providing such adaptations. Read more.

“Working alongside the Chilterns Neuro Centre is an exciting opportunity for Steering Developments Ltd and we look forward to being able to provide support and information to those who want to be able to travel independently or assisted. The association between ourselves and the Centre will undoubtedly prove to be a great partnership and we can’t wait to help many more people achieve the confidence and independence they deserve.”

Grant Harbour, Managing Director, Steering Developments

Hollister Ltd

In 2023 we formed an association with Hollister Ltd, a global healthcare company that develops, manufactures and markets ostomy and continence products. As well as financially contributing to the work of the charity, the association will also see Hollister host bladder clinics at the Centre to show those affected by incontinence the products and support available. “We are delighted to be working with Chilterns Neuro Centre, and have long since admired the charity’s commitment to people living with neurological conditions. We are confident that together we can continue the important work of raising awareness, and improving quality of life for people living with neurological conditions experiencing bladder issues.”

Rebecca Davenport, Director of Clinical Nursing Services (UK and Ireland), Hollister

Ashridge Home Care

In 2022 we formed an association with Ashridge Home Care to further improve the lives of people living with a neurological condition. As part of the association, Ashridge Home Care will be holding workshops at the Centre offering guidance and recommendations on how users of the Centre can live fuller lives while maintaining independence. “Living with a disability or health condition can be extremely challenging but it does not mean you should not be able to maintain independence and live a fulfilling life. Having the support of a professional PA or carer who really believes in you, can provide confidence and motivation to be able to do whatever you want.”

Trudi Scrivener, Founder, Ashridge Home Care

Would you like to support a charity and promote your business across the Chilterns?

Your company can help local people in your community affected by neurological conditions to lead healthier and happier lives.

Would you like to promote your business across the Chilterns area whilst improving your corporate social responsibility?  By partnering with a local charity you can do all of these things at once.

At the Chilterns Neuro Centre we believe that a partnership should be just that, mutually beneficial to both ourselves and local companies.  You can help us to make a real difference to local people affected by neurological conditions, and we can help to promote you as a community-minded business to potential customers.

We have lots of ways in which we can work together with your company and employees and any support is gratefully received.

Corporate Friends

Even small companies can make a BIG difference, from as little as £50 a month.

We can help you to channel your charitable giving in a strategic, effective and sustainable way. By working with us you can demonstrate to your staff, suppliers and customers that you are a community-minded company that is serious about supporting local people.

We have several levels of partnership available:

£250
DIAMOND

a month could pay for a husband to have a programme of physiotherapy, giving them the strength to stand and give their devoted wife a precious hug again.

£100
PLATINUM

a month could pay for six people to have four weeks of oxygen treatment every year, allowing someone with chronic fatigue to feel more energised to do something they love, like walking their beloved dog.

£50
GOLD

a month could pay for a regular complementary therapy session for a person we’re caring for, helping them to relax, ease their pain and have a good night’s sleep.

What do you get in return

We can bring you together with other local businesses to promote your services through our networking events.  You will also have early bird access to our fundraising events and will feature on our website.  You can also use our logo on your brochures, website and marketing materials to show that you support a local charity.

    Charity of the Year

If you cannot commit to a regular monthly donation why not adopt us as your Charity of the Year instead? We have a personal relationship with every company that takes us as their preferred charity and we can help you to come up with fundraising ideas that generate staff and customer engagement.

Here are just some of the amazing companies that have adopted us as their charity of the year.

Volunteering, Gifts in Kind and Pro Bono

We know that not every business can afford to give money to charities, so have you thought about giving products as gifts in kind or offering pro bono services to help us to lower our costs.  From donating paper to our art group, a hamper for a raffle or designing posters for our events, every single donation helps us to support a local family affected by neurological conditions.

Or why not spend a few hours volunteering for us instead?  We always have opportunities for you to help out. Or do you have skills that you can use to help train and mentor our team?

Whatever you can offer, we would love to hear from you.

    Networking Events

Did you know that there are more small and medium-sized enterprises in Bucks, our home county, than in any other county in the UK?  We can help you to engage with other like-minded businesses through our networking events.  Held 3-4 times a year, they offer you the chance to connect with other local companies, learn tips for success and increase your visibility in the local business community.

We also encourage local businesses to host the events at their premises, giving people more of an insight into what you do.

What people have said about our networking events:

“Such an inspirational talk from Ben Hunt-Davis”

“Another excellent event and high quality networking. Well done! These events just get better every time”

“Thank you for organising such a great event with such an inspirational speaker. Came away with many valuable take home messages”

Our next event on Thursday 13 February 5.30pm-7pm at the Centre.

    Sponsorship Opportunities

We organise several large fundraising events each year. Your business can get involved in these by becoming a sponsor.  Each event is different but sponsorship packages are available to suit most budgets. If you are interested in sponsoring an event please contact our Fundraising Team.

    Payroll Giving

Payroll giving is a simple, tax-effective way for an employee to give to the Chilterns MS Centre directly from their pay cheque and is an ideal way for organisations with smaller budgets to support their local charity. There are many payroll giving agencies that can process employees’ payments to charities on a company’s behalf.

    Find an agency

Regular payroll giving allows us to plan ahead for the future for the specialist therapy and support we give to those affected by neurological conditions. We offer our services free of charge to our members, but to continue to offer that care we need to raise over £1.2 million every year – that’s £2.28 every minute!

What’s even better is that you get tax relief on your donation, meaning that you don’t pay the full amount, the taxman makes up the difference.  The tax relief you get depends on the rate of tax you pay.

    To donate £1, you pay:

    • 80p if you’re a basic rate taxpayer
    • 60p if you’re a higher rate taxpayer
    • 55p if you’re an additional rate taxpayer

If you would like more information we can arrange a visit to your workplace to show you the importance of the services and support we give to local people affected by neurological conditions, and how giving to us through your pay will greatly contribute to the specialist care we provide.

    Challenge Events

If your company just wants to get its teeth into a challenging fundraiser, we can help with that too.  We have many ideas for challenge events, where teams can participate in a variety of events from Run Prestwood to climbing the 3 Peaks.

If you would like more information on any of the ways that your company can get involved with the Centre, please contact our fundraising team.
