We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 4 Rehabilitation Assistant to join our growing clinical team. This is an exciting time to be a part of our charity and you will provide individual and group therapy activities under the supervision of qualified therapists, and assist members of the clinical team in carrying out a variety of activities following appropriate training.
The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary therapy team at the Centre. This team consists of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Dietetics, all of which provide specialist neurological support to members living with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s and Stroke survivors. They will support service users on their journey towards living well with anyone affected by a long-term neurological condition.
The successful candidate will work under supervision to assist in carrying out activities for our members, for example, running exercise groups, assisting with hoisting and transfers or working in the hydrotherapy pool.
As well as hands-on intervention you will also support therapists in administrative duties and work in collaboration with all other members of the wider CNC team as appropriate.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of working in a care setting, exercise setting or similar
- Experience of delivering activities to vulnerable people
- Ability to empathise with people facing difficult situations
- Passionate about supporting and empowering people
