24 hour bathroom challenge
Huge congratulations to Maisie, one of our youngest fundraisers, for her recent 24 hour bathroom challenge!
Armed with a phone, tablet, pen and paper, Maisie managed to entertain herself by watching YouTube and making animated videos. Maisie also took food and drink supplies and a blanket to see her through the night. During the tough times, Mum and Nan were there to offer support and motivation throughout the 24 hours in the bath!
The challenge was made even more difficult given that Maisie suffers from several conditions herself – including Asperger’s Syndrome and anxiety around being locked in places.
All of this makes it such an amazing achievement. By raising £560.50 including Gift Aid, Maisie has helped her Nan, and others like her, to continue to receive vital support from the charity.
Maisie said upon completing the challenge:
“I knew I could do it and cos I love my Nanny I wanted to raise money for her Centre and do the challenge.”
She really is an inspiring and determined young lady who has done such a wonderful thing for the Centre. All of us here are very grateful. Thank you Maisie.
