Going the distance for the Chilterns Neuro Centre

The Chilterns Neuro Centre is delighted to have partnered with Runaway Racing, a running event organiser based in the Chiltern Hills, to offer supporters some truly amazing opportunities to challenge themselves, improve their fitness and help raise money for the Centre.

Runaway Racing puts on friendly, inclusive and challenging trail running events of all shapes and sizes across the UK and often partners with charities based in the communities where those events take place.

The company is specifically supporting the Centre for three of their races – the Chiltern Ridge 50K in April, a point-to-point run from Berkhamsted to Wendover, the Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon in June and the North Chilterns 50K in the autumn.

“We’re really excited to be partnering with the Chilterns Neuro Centre,” said Chris Bradley, Race Director at Runaway Racing. “Since moving our base to Wendover in 2023 we have seen first-hand how much support the Centre provides to the local community. We are looking forward to working together to help raise awareness and funds for such an important cause.”

“As a community of runners, we are acutely aware of how important movement is to both our physical and mental health,” added Chris. “The range of treatments available at the Centre to help those affected by MS, Parkinson’s and stroke survivors is fantastic and we are proud to be able to support this work.”

For every person that signs up to the Chiltern Ridge 50K, Chiltern Ridge Half Marathon or the North Chilterns 50K, Runaway Racing will donate £1 to the Centre. In addition, for each of these three races, the Centre will be given five Gold Bond places so people can sign up for free, on the condition they race a minimum of £150 for the Centre.
