Volunteer Role: Massage Therapist

The Chilterns Neuro Centre is an independent charity based in Wendover, providing support to over 700 people from across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire.

The Centre offers a range of services and therapeutic leisure activities for people with MS, Parkinson’s and stroke survivors, as well as their family and carers. These services include massage therapy.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled volunteer massage therapist to join our team.

As a volunteer, you will provide therapeutic massage services to our members, helping them alleviate symptoms, reduce stress, and improve their overall wellbeing.

What we are looking for in the massage therapist volunteer role:

  • Commitment and reliability
  • Adhere to a confidentiality agreement
  • A kind and welcoming attitude
  • DBS check
  • Recognised massage qualification such as ITEC
  • Two years post-qualification experience
  • Member of a relevant professional organisation
  • Willing to complete internal training courses

Volunteer Working Hours

At least one session a week – either morning (10am to 1pm) or afternoon (1pm to 4pm). This could be on any day of the working week but not at weekends.
